Each candidate, and parent/guardian for youth under the age of 18, is required to read the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Job Description. The size of the Trevor YAC team is limited. The Trevor Project YAC is meant to be a cross-sectional representation of LGBTQ youth and straight allies from four geographic regions across the country. The YAC is comprised of 20 members ranging from ages 16-24 attending high school and college.
If selected and under the age of 18, a Permission Form must be completed. To ensure that parent(s) or guardian(s) understand the commitment completely, The Trevor Project will provide parent(s) or guardian(s) of a YAC member with the option of scheduling a phone meeting with the Program Director.
