I am sorry to hear that you are being bulled in school because you identify as lesbian or gay. Schools should always be a safe place for learning, and nobody deserves to be bullied. You have the right to be who you are, and nobody should bully, tease, or hurt you. Contacting The Trevor Project is a good first step to standing up against bullying at your school.

I encourage you to talk with a trusted adult about what’s going on at school. If you do not feel comfortable talking to your guardian or parent, there are others that you can talk with at school. For example, your guidance counselor or school social worker might be able to brainstorm with you about ways that you can feel safe at school. Many schools offer support groups for people who are being bullied, and some of those groups are for kids who identify as lesbian or gay. Regardless of how you identify, there may be groups at school that can help you feel less lonely.

There are also a number of organizations that might be able to help you find ways to deal with bullying and loneliness at school. For example, the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is an organization of educators and others who aim to make school a safe place for lesbian and gay kids.
