I want to help our youth and generations to come
Question:
I want to help our youth and generations to come. I have a passion for helping out kids like teenage girls. Is there a way I can help spread the word? I would LOVE to help out in any way it can. I have been able to turn around a few lives around and I realized I want to do this as a career. If you give me a chance, I won’t let you down. I’m a 13 year old girl myself. I feel that with my experience I can help! I have tried killing my self, I have cut, and I have had suicide thoughts. But I have learned from them and I am trying to help our generation from speaking about my past! I was once in a gay relationship and I got judged and bullied for what I was. I grew stronger as the days went on but I am currently in a relationship with a male. But I do see myself falling for that one female. It is my passion to help out MY youth. I know where they come from. Is there a way I can help out ? I love the Trevor Project and I would love to be apart of it. <3

Hi, Nia!
Thank you so very much for your question, and your continued support of the Trevor Project (and all that we stand for at that)…
Unfortunately, we require our volunteers to be 18 years of age, however, please don’t let this stop you from continuing the great work you seem to be doing! Your passion is truly inspiring to all of us!
Beyond The Trevor Project, there’s a wonderful new organization called the Born This Way Foundation, which is also focused on youth involvement. Check out the “Get Involved” tab and maybe you’ll find something there that suits you!
Check in with us again when you’re 18! Thanks again, and all the best!
