Answer:
Hi, first of all I want to thank you for writing into Trevor. Depression
is a big thing and many people suffer from many forms of it so you are
not alone. There are many ways to treat depression. Not all depression
is treated by meds. I understand how frustrating it can be when you
think that no one cares. Sometimes you have to be the first person to
made contact. Though they may not see the signs of your depression, you
holding it in can make it worse. Try starting a conversation and let
someone know that you are hurting. Try to be the first person who starts
the conversation to say, “hey, something is wrong.” Talking things out
always helps. If you don’t feel comfortable with talking to someone in
your family then yes you can go to a doctor. Not all doctors prescribe
medicine for depression and if they do, then they believe that is best
for you. No doctor is going to turn you away. they will sit you down and
talk to you and see what is the best course to help you. Talking to
someone is key to helping you get better and not be depressed and to
enjoy life.
