Hi Brad:
I can certainly get you names of organizations. It would help me if you could tell me what region you’re living in. Like I mentioned though, when you’re at college the student union can help put you in touch with student organziations.

Hi I would like to say a thank for the advise that you have given out to me and will look in to the possibilities that you have presented. If you can also find any names of organisations that would help me with this situation

Regards brad

Dear Brad:
I’m very glad you wrote to Ask Trevor for help with your dilemma. The teenage years can be a difficult time for LGBTQ people to meet others like us. High schools often lack the social clubs to meet others and the resources we need to find help with our issues. You have found a good resource here at The Trevor Project though. Trevor Space (www.trevorspace.org) is our safe, online social networking site. Although, it is not a dating site, you can chat with others who are or were in similar situations and learn how they dealt with them.

You mentioned in your letter that you’re about to start college. Very often college do have more LGBTQ resources and social clubs. You can contact your college’s student union to fin out more about these. Many cities also have centers for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered young people. A web-search for some in your community may prove helpful.

I’m excited for you as you, as you start college – a new chapter in your life. Good luck, and again, know that you have a great resource here at The Trevor Project. We are here for you.

Sincerely,
Trevor
