For Wade Addison’s 25th birthday, he wanted to use his special day to make a difference in the lives of young people who are struggling with being teased, tormented, and told to live in fear just because they identify as LGBTQ or questioning.
Wade created a campaign, called “25 for Trevor” that hinges upon a video where a diverse range of supporters express their personal stories and why they chose The Trevor Project. The goal: raise $25,000 dollars for Trevor in just 25 short days.
Not only did Wade reach his goal – but the gifts from people getting involved continues to grow. As of November 20, the 25 for Trevor campaign has raised $26,670. The Trevor Project is so grateful for this gift, and thanks each person who contributed to this incredible campaign. As the Wade’s video says, together we can make a difference.
