how long does it take to know your lesbian? (im 12 going on 13 and ive had a feeling for girls for 3 years now and im in love with a girland sheloves me back im soo happy :) )

Congratulations on being in love, and in love with a girl who loves you back. I can understand why you're happy!

 

How long does it take, you ask, to know for sure whether your feelings for this girl make you a lesbian. That's a really good question, but it isn't so easy to answer. If you've had feelings for girls for three years, as you say, it may be that you are a lesbian. But a lot of girls your age fluctuate for a while as their bodies and brains try to figure out who they are. So, don't be surprised if you find yourself attracted to boys sometime in the future, or maybe to both boys and girls. The best advice I can give you is not to get too hung up on labeling what you're feeling as either lesbian or straight, at least not yet. Just accept the relationships that come your way for what they are, and keep living your life. Maybe you're lesbian, and maybe you're straight. Either way, hopefully you can stay as happy as you are right now. :))
