In response to your question: there is no specific age at which people know they are gay. People may come out at any age. Studies have indicated that most people first identify as gay in their early-to-mid teens and first come out to others a few years later. Some people say they “always” knew—even before they were aware of the word “gay” as a label with which to describe them. Others do not come to this realization until much later in life. There is no one set age when someone will know when they are gay!
