How do you find other gay guys at your school. . . Well, outside of posting a sign that says, “Gay Guys Meet in Front of the School at 3PM on Friday” (I’m kidding J), there’s no simple answer to that question, I’m afraid. At 12, you’re still pretty young to have (or start) a Gay/Straight Al liance at your school (though it wouldn’t hurt to go to the Gay/Straight Al liance Network website [www.gsanetwork.org ] to find out more about this organization), so, if there are gay or gay-friendly organizations in your area (you can always call our helpline to find out), you might have to hold on for a few more years in order to be able to get involved in one of them.



In the meantime, I would suggest you focus on finding other guys (and girls) who you feel you can relate to (who like the things you like, who laugh at the same things you do—who make you feel comfortable just being you). It’s possible that one or more of them will also be gay, but, even if that is not the case, you’ll be in a better place to attract others to you if you are hanging with people who make you feel good about yourself.



It’s great that you seem clear about who you are at a fairly young age. Now give yourself some time to get to know yourself better. The gay guys will be there for you when the time is right.
