Executive Vice President, Global Communications Marketing at Edelman
Chris Allieri, executive vice president, Global Communications Marketing, leads the internal and external communications and corporate marketing function at Edelman, overseeing and enhancing the reputation, communications and marketing activities for the firm. Chris joined Edelman in May 2015.
Prior to joining Edelman, Chris was director of digital and corporate communications at Univision, the leading Hispanic media company in the United States. He created and executed corporate and digital communications strategy in support of Univision’s Digital business, with emphasis on new technology product and network launches, social and digital media program execution, and cross-industry partnerships. Chris also led internal communications for the company.
Prior to Univision, Chris led corporate communications and public relations for Accenture's management consulting practice in North America, as well as Accenture's sustainability, digital strategy and risk management business lines globally. Chris was also director at Grayling, where his clients included Petrobras, The Coca-Cola Company, The American Legacy Foundation, and Toyota.
Chris has 15+ years of experience executing media relations, digital and social media, strategic branding and integrated marketing initiatives. Chris has diverse sector experience including technology, consumer packaged goods, energy, financial services, and healthcare. Additionally, Chris has experience leading corporate social responsibility efforts, public affairs and advocacy programs for non-profits as well as corporations. Chris was Director of Communications for MOUSE, a national non-profit organization integrating technology in public schools. Additionally, Chris worked with StarMedia Network, a Spanish and Portuguese-language Internet company.
Chris has served on the board of directors of The Trevor Project since 2010, and is currently vice chair of the organization. Chris received his BA with honors in environmental studies and Latin American studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his MA in international affairs from Columbia University. Having lived and worked in Latin America, Chris is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
