Zack Hicks is Chief Information Officer of Toyota operations in North America. He is responsible for the strategy, development and operations of all systems and technology that support Toyota’s North American business goals. Zack is also a member of the North American Management Committee and chairs the Executive Steering Committee.
Zack focuses on aligning the efforts of business operations, strategic planning, and technology to drive business innovation and efficiency. He championed a global telematics ecosystem enabling new customer and in-vehicle capabilities; deployed mobile devices and mobile reporting with real-time analytics; championed the adoption of cloud-based collaboration tools and enabled the development of a Social Media Analytics platform.
Zack joined Toyota in 1996, and has held several management positions including telematics, eBusiness, dealer systems, and IS where he led the establishment of a demand management function, the development of next-generation dealership technology, and designed a CIO Magazine recognized strategy framework to align business and IT strategies. He also served as Vice President of Administrative Services.
Hicks earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Pepperdine University, and his MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He is an active member of the CIO Strategy Exchange, Corporate Executive Board for CIOs, UCLA IS Associate Program, CIO Leadership Network, and the Research Board. He is also a board member of the March of Dimes Foundation.
