Chris Allieri is founder and principal of Mulberry & Astor, a New York-based consultancy focused on delivering high-quality, integrated communications, marketing and public relations for for early stage companies, individuals, established businesses and non profits alike.

Prior to launching Mulberry & Astor, Chris served as the chief communications & marketing executive at Edelman, the world’s largest PR firm. Chris was also director of digital & corporate communications at Univision. He created and executed corporate and digital communications strategy in support of Univision’s Digital business, with emphasis on new technology product and network launches, social and digital media program execution and cross-industry partnerships. Chris also led internal communications for the company.

Prior to Univision, Chris led corporate communications and public relations for Accenture’s management consulting practice in North America, as well as Accenture’s sustainability, digital strategy and risk management business lines globally. He was also a director at Grayling, the public relations and public affairs firm.

Chris has twenty years of experience executing media relations, digital and social media, strategic branding and integrated marketing initiatives. Additionally, Chris has experience leading corporate social responsibility efforts, public affairs and advocacy programs for non-profits as well as corporations. Chris was Director of Communications for MOUSE, a national non-profit organization integrating technology in public schools. Additionally, Chris worked with StarMedia Network, a Spanish and Portuguese-language Internet company, launching their community affairs program and foundation.

Chris has served on the board of directors of The Trevor Project since 2010, and is currently vice chair of the organization. Chris is also a member of the national board of directors of Farm Sanctuary, an animal protection organization and advocate for farm animals. Chris received his BA with honors in environmental studies and Latin American studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his MA in international affairs from Columbia University. Having lived and worked in Latin America, Chris is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
