Michael is an advertising and marketing executive based in New York City with a focus on the luxury consumer and brand creation/re-invention. He has served as Global Creative Director on Maybelline NY, Executive Creative Director of Arnell Group, and as Creative Director of Brand Development at DDB New York—a unique position that was created specifically to leverage his talent to make creative more strategic and Strategy more creative. He’s led integrated communications and product innovation teams on global businesses, including Samsung, Jose Cuervo International, Maybelline, Hershey’s, Unilever, Pepsi, Sobe Lifewater, 3M/Post-it, LVMH, Martha Stewart, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, GNC, several watch brands, a variety of luxury hotel properties, and the Guggenheim Museum.
Michael is most proud of his team’s redesign of The Trevor Project’s visual identity. Michael has also contributed his marketing expertise and support to the Empire State Pride Agenda, Stockings With Care, First Day New York, Special Olympics, NYPD, FDNY, NewFest, and The Dramatists Guild.
Michael learned about The Trevor Project when he was asked to conduct one of his brand empowerment workshops for the organization. He immediately recognized that this would be the most important work he would ever do. That was the start of an inspiring and rewarding experience.
