At The Trevor Project, our circle of volunteers, counselors, staff, and donors share a vision to help young LGBTQ people find their light and build an equitable world. As a community of care, we work to provide 24/7 support to LGBTQ young people in crisis, and help ensure that every young LGBTQ person feels seen, loved, and accepted. Donors are an essential part of the organization, and integral to how The Trevor Project thrives. To advance this work and our mission of ending suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people, The Trevor Project is excited to introduce the Circle of Light, our community of donating supporters.

Members of the Circle of Light will become ambassadors and advocates for The Trevor Project’s mission and join a thriving community of generous supporters who are committed to shining a light for LGBTQ individuals. Additionally, donors are educated on the impact of their gift and invited to get an inside look at The Trevor Project’s work in advocacy, research, public education, mental health services, and peer support.

Some Circle of Light donors are recognized as part of the following groups:

  • Luminaries: Recurring monthly gifts at all levels
  • Beacons: Donors making a difference every single day
  • North Stars: Donors investing in transformative impact
  • The Constellation: Donors planning to leave a legacy gift

Our donors are instrumental to the life-saving and life-affirming work of The Trevor Project. For more information on supporting The Trevor Project and joining the Circle of Light, contact our Community Giving team.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people. If you or someone you know is feeling hopeless or suicidal, our trained crisis counselors are available 24/7 at 1-866-488-7386 via chat www.TheTrevorProject.org/Get-Help, or by texting START to 678-678.

The Trevor Project Community Went Above And Beyond For The 50 Mile Challenge

Our community of generous and determined supporters made a huge commitment to walk/run/bike/travel 50 miles over the month of April, all to support The Trevor Project’s mission of ending suicide among LGBTQ young people. We are so proud to announce that our community went above and beyond for this challenge, logging over 252,000 miles and raising an incredible $1,313,377 for The Trevor Project.  Over 13,000 individuals came together to accomplish this goal, joining in a Facebook group that became a circle of love and care for LGBTQ young people across the country (and for each other). Throughout the month, members…
