WORD OF THE DAY

Passing
[ pas-ing ]

Being perceived as cisgender and/or heterosexual. This can be an affirming experience for some and a stressful experience for others. Passing should never be an expectation, it can be seen as a choice to be respected or can be felt as a pressure to conform. Either way, it is an individual experience of gender in relationship to self and others.
